Prayer
at the end of the year by H.G. Bishop Mina Ava Mina with the fathers the monks:
O Heavenly Father, at this holy moment we stand before the throne of Your grace, confessing our many sins. We stand before You like the Publican crying out and saying, we have sinned against You, pardon and forgive us our sins. Asking You to remit and sanctify these spilled hearts before You. We place our weaknesses before You, we place our sluggishness and laziness, and we place our heedlessness and we say: “Free O Lord our hearts from the ways of the old man and allow us to start a new year”. Receive O Lord our lives and hearts, and change our ways. Teach us how to carry the cross in thanksgiving following in Your footsteps, while applying Your commandments. Crucifying this flesh with its passions and desires, imitating You in Your life of giving and sacrifice.
O Lord bless Your children who are present before You with all blessings and spirituality. Unite them with Your care, shepherd and protect them in Your Holy Name always. Give them strength in their struggles and growth for their spiritual lives so that they may arrive at the harbor of salvation in peace worthy of seeing Your Kingdom and to live with Your righteous saints.
Through the intercessions of the Mother of God St. Mary, St. Mark the Martyr, St. George the Martyr, St. Mina the Martyr and Wonderworker, his beloved Pope Kyrillos VI and all the ranks of the martyrs and saints. Amen.
